What is happening at the lodge?
This has been an awesome year for us at the lodge. We got re-acquainted with many of the guests we met last year and met a whole lot more great people this year. We feel truly blessed to have spent time with each and every one of you.

We continued to work on the lodge adding new flooring to almost every cabin as well as installing new propane furnaces in each cabin too. We added patio furniture to the deck we built last year and just finished up on a new garage to store the boats in this winter. We also added a new roof on the lodge as well.  I will be adding the updated photos on the site soon.

We had a very successful bear hunting season this year ending up with 17 bears, with 5 of them being in the 300 range. WOW. What a year. Moose hunting starts this Saturday. We wish all of the hunters the best of luck.

We closed up on October 4th for the year. What a great "first" season we had. We met a lot of great people, not only the guests of the lodge but many great neighbors and cottage owners from up the lake. We accomplished a lot this summer including a brand new deck on the lodge as well as new red steel roofs on all of the cabins and garage.

We look forward to being back in Michigan this winter spending time with our families. We also have filled up our schedule and plan on attending several outdoor expo shows as well as spending a few weeks in sunny Florida. We hope to see you at one of them. Check out our SHOW SCHEDULE.

We just finished up on our Official Opening Week here at the lodge. We are having a great time. We have met a lot of wonderful guests. They all caught fish including our group we call "The Lake Trout Kings" All together they caught 41 Lake Trout and a few other fish as well. We had smoked fish, deep fried fish, grilled fish, that was oh so good!! All of the other guests caught Walleye, Pike and Small Mouth Bass. Every cabin had at least one fish fry and took some fish home as well. Some guests said it was their BEST YEAR EVER.

In the last 5 weeks we have power washed and stained almost all of the cabins. Tore off the old deck and built a new deck on the lodge, made new curtains for many of the windows, sanded and refinished dressers, hung new mirrors, took out the old mattresses and replaced them with new mattresses and linens, hung some new mirrors, replenished all of the small kitchen items, replaced some of the old furniture, tore out the bar in the lodge and made a new check in counter, repaired the 120' dock, etc. The list goes on and on.

We have had unusually great weather this year with most days being in the upper 70's to low 80's. PERFECT!

FALL, 2013:
We would like to introduce ourselves. We are Bill & Susan Alderden, from Lake City Michigan. As of May, 2014 we will be operating Whitefish Lodge as the new owners. We look forward to meeting all of the past guests and to meeting new guests at the lodge as well.

We have already spent a couple weeks at the lodge this fall cleaning up around the property, removing tree trunks and tearing down some old sheds, while clearing a lot for a new garage. We have replaced some of the older furniture and mattresses and plan on having every bed replaced, in every cabin including new mattresses, linens, blankets and pillows, before guests arrive in the spring. We will continue to work on updating the furniture throughout the next couple years as well as re-staining the cabins and adding some new landscaping. As most of you already know, Whitefish Lodge has the "Best" views on the entire lake.

**PAST CUSTOMERS please note that we also have a new policy in place that does not allow for pets to be brought to camp. This decision was made for the enjoyment of all guests. Thanks for your understanding.

We look forward to meeting you and hope you will be calling in your reservations soon.
